MUTUAL AID FUND
In challenging times, Mutual Aid is one way that communities can come together to support one another when the government can’t or won’t. Mutual Aid is a form of solidarity and cooperation aimed at building stronger communities and sharing resources and skills. It can take many forms. Some examples of Mutual Aid are food distribution programs, responding locally to natural disasters, financial solidarity projects like debt relief, or neighborhood pods where communities can rely on each other for support. The Alaska Just Transition Collective believes that immediate direct action is just as critical as catalyzing long-term change in Alaska.
